Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway: There is news of relief for the people of Delhi-NCR. For the past few months, we are witnessing severe traffic jams on the roads of Delhi and Noida, due to which people have to face a lot of difficulties in reaching their offices and homes. At the same time, to go from Noida to Haryana, at present, there is only one way for big vehicles to pass through Kalindi Kunj.
Now the way has been cleared for the construction of the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway, which was hanging for almost 3 decades. Because of this, the number of vehicles on Kalindi Kunj road will be reduced and people will get relief from jam. Recently, in a meeting held with the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh and officials of Noida Authority, it has been decided that the remaining work of FNG Expressway will be completed soon.
70% work is complete
The main objective of this 43 km long expressway connecting Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad is to reduce the vehicular load on Delhi, in which as of 2014 reports have completed 70 percent of the work on the 17 km long expressway in Noida .
Both the state governments will jointly bear the expenditure
The dispute between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana regarding the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway, which was going on for 3 decades, was about the construction of the bridge, which has now been resolved by mutual agreement between the two governments. Both the governments will jointly bear the construction cost of this expressway. It was decided to build this expressway in 1989, at which time its cost was fixed at Rs 1000 crore. Now the cost of making this expressway will increase further, in which 6 lane road, underpass bridge and other necessary facilities will be available.
