Patna: The case of beating of ADJ Avinash Kumar is gaining momentum. The matter is to be heard in Patna High Court on November 29. In this regard, the court has sent a notice to four officers including the Chief Secretary and asked them to be present in the court during the hearing. Here, the side of the police has also come to the fore in this matter. President of Bihar Police Association Mrityunjay Kumar Singh has presented the side of both the policemen who are accused of assaulting Judge Avinash Kumar in this case.
First ADJ assaulted and abused
he said, " According to the information I have received, the SHO and another policeman were ordered to be present by the ADJ Avinash Kumar of Jhanjharpur Court for not presenting the parties in the Lok Adalat. On this, SHO Gopal Krishna was present along with 2009 batch ASI Abhimanyu Kumar. But Judge Avinash abused both the office bearers. This was opposed by both the employees."

According to the BPA President, " On protesting, the judge put his hand on the SHO, on which the SHO also scuffled with him in defense. Hearing the commotion, many lawyers gathered and after beating up both the policemen, locked them in the judge’s chamber there. This incident is very unfortunate. Both the sides are giving their respective arguments. In such a situation, action should be taken against whoever is guilty after the investigation by forming an investigation team of the present High Court judge or senior officer of the government."

he said, " Under no normal circumstances, a policeman can abuse or take out a pistol in the judge’s chamber. In such a situation, it is unfair to the law and justice to act on the police without a fair investigation of the whole matter. The association condemns such an incident."
