Banka: A farmer was beaten to death with sticks and his dead body was thrown on the roadside near Bellary turn on the Shambhuganj-English turn main road in the district late on Tuesday night in a land dispute. Was. The deceased farmer has been identified as 60-year-old Mohammad Kamal of Mahthudih village under Shambhuganj police station area. On the other hand, on Wednesday morning, angry villagers blocked the main road by keeping the dead body on the road. As soon as the information about this incident was received, the police reached the spot and persuaded the angry villagers to pacify the matter.
The land dispute was going on
According to the information, Mohammad Kamal was living in Mahthudih village of Shambhuganj police station area for years. For the last two months, a land dispute was going on with some people of Rudpay village itself. Like every day, Mohammad Kamal was sleeping in the verandah of his house after having dinner late on Tuesday night, where the miscreants brutally killed him by beating him with sticks late at night. After this, the miscreants threw the dead body on the roadside to make it look like a road accident.
Angry people blocked the road
On Wednesday morning, the local people caught sight of the dead body. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. During this, angry relatives and villagers blocked the Shambhuganj-English Mor main road by keeping the dead body near Bellary turn, causing long queues of vehicles on both sides. The angry villagers were demanding the arrest of the miscreants as well as calling the DM and SP.

On the information of the attack on the police officer and the road jam, the district ADM Madhav Kumar, SDM Dr. Preeti, Headquarters DSP Manglesh Kumar reached the spot, where after convincing the angry villagers, the road jam was removed by assuring the arrest of the criminals, after which Shambhuganj Police station chief Pankaj Kumar Raut took the body into custody and sent it to Banka for postmortem.
