Andhra Pradesh: Another key step has been taken to replace government jobs in Andhra Pradesh. CM Jagan is stepping up to the promise of announcing a job calendar to fill vacancies in government departments every year. As part of this, the CM on Friday conducted a review with the authorities on the implementation of the job calendar. The CM directed that the remaining 8,000 posts in the job calendar should be filled immediately. Jagan discussed with the officers the appointments made during the year and the posts yet to be filled. 39,654 jobs were filled through the 2021–22 job calendar. In this context, the CM discussed in the latest review on backlog posts, appointments in the APPSC, medical, health-family welfare and higher education departments.

The CM directed the officers to fill the remaining posts in the medical health department by the end of this month, the associate professor posts in the higher education department by September and the posts in the APPSC by March. Of the total 47,465 posts identified, 83.5 per cent were to be filled within a single year. The Chief Minister, who spends a lot of money on education and medicine in hospitals and schools, has directed that contract posts should be filled transparently, along with regular posts. The CM also directed the officers to formulate an action plan on the recruitment of police personnel.
