Wriddhiman Saha out due to throat problem, Sreekar Bharat will keep wicket

Kanpur, Nov 27 (PTI) Veteran wicketkeeper and Indian team’s oldest player Wriddhiman Saha could not take the field on the morning of the third day of the third Test against New Zealand due to a sore throat.

The BCCI said in a statement, “Wriddhiman Saha has a tightness in his neck. The BCCI medical team is treating him. KS Bharat will do the wicketkeeping in his absence.

The 37-year-old has been frequently injured on the field or has struggled with fitness issues. Saha, playing due to Rishabh Pant being rested, could score only one run in the Indian innings.
