WPL 2023: RCB still have a chance of making the playoffs!

WPL 2023, RCB: After losing the first five matches played in the WPL, the team recovered from the pessimism of  ‘Will this team actually win…?’ Royal Challengers Bangalore.   After defeating UP and Gujarat after losing five matches, RCB suddenly declared that they are in the race for the playoffs.  Let’s look at those opportunities that are flickering like a lamp in a tornado.

After winning the match against UP Warriors on 15th of this month,  RCB ‘s playoff chances depended on the matches they played as well as other teams.  Especially Mumbai.. He should have won the three matches he was going to play.  But  Yesterday (Saturday)  Mumbai lost in the match with UP Warriors.  But if  Mumbai loses this match, RCB still have playoff chances.

The playoff race is like this..

– RCB’s next  match is against Mumbai. Bengaluru should win this battle.
– Gujarat Giants should beat UP Warriors.
– Delhi Capitals should also beat UP.

It means that UP will lose their next two  matches.. If they win against RCB and Mumbai then Mumbai will be on the points table with three wins. It comes in third place.   Actually UP is also in this league   So far they have played six matches and won three and have six points. Even if RCB wins against Mumbai, they will get six points. However, if UP loses by a huge margin to Gujarat and Delhi, then the team’s net run rate will drop further. RCB’s net run rate will also improve if they get a solid win against Mumbai. Then RCB will finish third and qualify for the playoffs.

The rules are as follows..

Mumbai and Delhi have already qualified for the playoffs. According to the rules of WPL, the team that is at the top of the points table will directly qualify for the final. The teams in second and third place    Eliminator match will be played. The winning team in this match will face the final team in the final match.  The losing team will be limited to third place.  And  If RCB playoffs hopes are to stay alive   Tomorrow (Monday)   UP Warriors must lose in the match against Gujarat Giants. If UP wins, Mandhana and co. Now it’s time to pack the bag… The eliminator (DY Patil) will be held on the 24th of this month and the final (Braborne) will be held on the 26th.   Men’s IPL will start soon after this league.
