India in World Taekwondo Championship 2023 : Indian team (Team India) will participate and it has been announced. The Baku 2023 World Taekwondo Championships will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall. The Indian team will participate in the tournament from May 29 to June 4, 2023 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
Indian team to participate in world taekwondo tournament
India Taekwondo organizers felicitated the team participating in the World Taekwondo Championships in Baku at a grand function at Peace Taekwondo Academy, Sportscube Center for Excellence, Gurugram and congratulated them for their good performance. India Taekwondo has given the official kit to the players of the Indian team for the World Taekwondo Championship. Team India Taekwondo President Namdev Shirgaonkar took a detailed tour of the facilities at the academy in Gurugram and appreciated the state-of-the-art infrastructure developed for the athletes.

< p style="text-align: justify;"> Indian Taekwondo President Namdev Shirgaonkar said, “Team India is looking forward to participating in the tournament in Baku and I am very optimistic about the team’s prospects. This will provide another much-awaited opportunity for Indians to showcase their talent at the global stage. It will help to get good opportunity, platform and experience in world championships."
National Taekwondo Team 2023 Head Coach Hasan Maleki said, “After detailed study, we have succeeded in selecting the Indian team for the World Championships in Baku. We are excited for all the players. India has the best talent in the world. Bharti is a talented team and we have trained very hard for this moment. I am sure we will do well globally."

Twisha Kakkaria (under 46 kg), Diksha Sharma (under 49 kg), Latika Bhandari (under 53 kg), Sonam Rawal (under 57 kg), Sania Khan (under 62 kg), Margaret M. Regi (below 67 kg), Itisha Das (below 73 kg) and Rodali Baruwa (above 73 kg).
Male Players :
Aman Kadyan (under 54 kg), Neeraj Chaudhary (under 58 kg), Ajay Gill (under 63 kg), Prithviraj Chauhan (under 68 kg), Shivam Tyagi (under 74 kg), Rishabh (under 80 kg), Gulshan (under 74 kg) and Pritam Yadav (over 84 kg).
