According to the report, a total of 12 venues have been decided by the BCCI for the World Cup. This includes, apart from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.
Why is there a delay in releasing the schedule?
The schedule of the World Cup is often announced a year in advance, but this time the ICC is waiting to understand the tax exemption from Pakistani cricketers and the Government of India. According to the agreement between ICC and BCCI, tax exemption was promised for three tournaments from 2016 to 2023.
