Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan: The players’ draft for the third season of England’s short format tournament The Hundred has been revealed. 14-14 players have been selected in all the 8 teams of this league. The surprising thing here is that two legendary batsmen of T20 International cricket, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been bought by any team here. Both of these remained unsold.
Only four Pakistan players have been selected for ‘The Hundred’. In this, fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have been selected by the team of Wells Fire. At the same time, Ehsanullah, who made a splash in PSL 2023, has been given a chance by Oval Invisibles. Pakistan’s spin all-rounder Shadab Khan has been included in the squad of Birmingham Phoenix. While Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan are part of the draft at Rs 1 crore each, Haris Rauf is at Rs 60 lakh and Ehsanullah at Rs 40 lakh.
