Sri Lanka’s 113 for one in Nisanka’s unbeaten 61

Galle, Nov 29 (AP) Opener Pathum Nisanka scored an unbeaten 61 to give Sri Lanka a good start on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies on Monday as the hosts posted 113 for one at the end of day’s play.

The day’s play was called off after 35 overs due to bad light.

Nisanka shared a 106-run partnership for the first wicket with captain Dimuth Karunaratne. Karunaratne was caught by off-spinner Roston Chase for 42 runs in 90 balls. He hit six fours.

Nisanka looked in great rhythm during this and in his 109-ball innings, he hit one six and four fours.

Sri Lanka won the last Test match at the same ground by 187 runs. West Indies have to win this match to level the series.
