Star cricketer Virat Kohli (100: 12×4, 4×6) in 63 balls led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to a must-win match to stay in the playoffs race of the IPL 2023 season. Chasing a target of 187 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Uppal venue on Thursday night, Bengaluru team won by 8 wickets with 4 balls to spare as Virat Kohli and Duplessis (71: 7×4, 2×6 off 47 balls) exploded. This is the seventh win for the Bengaluru team who played the 13th match of the season. RCB has reached the fourth position in the points table. On the other hand, this is the 9th defeat for Hyderabad, who played the 13th match.
Chasing the target of 187 runs, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team played aggressively from the first over. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who bowled the first over of Virat Kohli, showed his intention by moving the first two balls to the boundary. Even after that, Kohli did not reduce his aggression at any stage.
