Shardul Thakur: As expected – Shardul left Delhi – but won’t enter the auction – because?

India all-rounder Shardul Thakur has been traded by his former franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). With this, Shardul Thakur will play next year’s IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders. Delhi traded Shardul for uncapped Mumbai cricketer Aman Khan. Delhi Capitals (DC) bought Shardul Thakur for Rs 10.75 crore in the IPL 2022 auction. He played 14 matches in IPL 2022 and took 15 wickets. His best figures were 4/36. But he gave almost 10 runs to the over. With the bat, he scored 120 runs at a strike rate of 137.93 and an average of 10.81.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought 25-year-old Aman Khan for INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2022 auction. He made his debut in IPL last season. "Shardul Thakur was traded from Delhi Capitals to Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming TATA IPL 2023." said the IPL organizers in a statement.

"Budding all-rounder Aman Khan will play for Delhi Capitals from Kolkata Knight Riders." Thakur is the third player KKR has traded in after New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz from the Titans in another all-cash deal.

Delhi Capitals Top Retentions: Rishabh Pant, David Warner, Prithvi Shah, Rowman Powell, Akshar Patel, Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan, Unrich Narkia, Kuldeep Yadav.

Players released by Delhi Capitals: Shardul Thakur, Tim Siefert, KS Bharat, Man‌deep Singh, Ashwin Hebbar.
