After being invited to bat, Maharashtra posted a challenging score of 160 for four, thanks to Mandhana’s 84 off 56 balls.
In response, Railways achieved the target in 11 balls with the help of half-centuries from openers S Meghna (52 runs) and D Hemlata (65 runs).
Left-handed batsman Mandhana smashed 11 fours and three sixes as she razed the Railways’ bowling attack and shared a 74-run partnership with opener Shivali Shinde for the first wicket. Shinde contributed 30 runs.
The batsman got out at the other end, but Mandhana took over the innings.
Railways off-spinner Swagatika Rath took three wickets for 33 runs while captain Sneh Rana took one wicket.
Chasing the target of 161 runs, railway opener S Meghna played a brilliant performance against the Maharashtra attack, hitting 52 runs in 32 balls with nine fours.
D Hemlata scored a half-century with the help of nine fours and two sixes but she was dismissed in the 17th over.
K Anjali Saravani (26 not out) and Sneh Rana (06 not out) ensured that no more wickets fell as Railways chased down the target with ease.
