In the tournament starting here on Friday, 27 teams would like to beat each other to win the trophy.
Coach Vandana Uikey said, “There will be some pressure playing at home because we are defending champions but I think we are mentally and physically ready. ,
“We will focus on one match at a time, our first goal will be to qualify for the quarterfinals and then we will proceed to the knockout stage depending on who we play against. ,
The participating teams are divided into eight pools.
Pool A consists of Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh and Bihar while Pool B consists of Haryana, Assam and Bengal. Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Tripura are in Pool C while Pool D includes Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry have been placed in Pool E while Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Arunachal, Andaman and Nicobar have been placed in Pool F.
Pool G consists of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Goa and Gujarat, while Pool H consists of Odisha, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh.
Pool matches will be played for eight days, followed by the quarterfinals on May 14 and the semi-finals on May 16. The final will be played on May 17.
