However, the journey till here has not been easy for Rinku Singh. Rinku is the third among 5 siblings. His father used to do gas cylinder delivery work. Rinku Singh’s one brother used to drive an auto rickshaw and his other used to work in a coaching centre. Rinku Singh had failed in class 9th. Due to not being educated, Rinku was not getting a good job. When Rinku talked about getting a job from his brother, then where his brother took him, he was getting a job as a broom.
Amidst all this, Rinku kept his focus on cricket. In 2015, his family got a loan of 5 lakhs. He paid off the family’s debt with the meager daily allowance he received for playing for the UP Under-19 team and other cricket money. In the 2017 IPL auction, Rinku was bought by Punjab for Rs 10 lakh, but he did not get a chance to play. In 2018, KKR bought him for 80 lakhs. In this year’s auction, Rinku got Rs 55 lakh. Till now there were discussions about his fielding only in IPL. But now Rinku has won the team by doing wonders with the bat.
