Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rinku Singh has come into the limelight overnight. At one point in the match against Lucknow Super Giants (KKR vs LSG), KKR’s defeat seemed certain. Then Rinku’s storm was seen on the field. He scored 40 runs in 15 balls. The team needed 21 runs in the last over. He scored 18 runs in the first four balls, but he was out on the 5th ball and Kolkata had to face defeat. Rinku may be doing amazing for the first time in IPL, but in domestic cricket, he has been rocking for a long time.

Place in India A team in 2019
Rinku Singh has so far scored runs in first class matches at an average of 64 and strike rate of 70. He scored 953 runs in the 2018-19 Ranji season. For this reason, he got a place in the India A team for the unofficial Test match against Sri Lanka A. India A is the first step to make a place in the Indian team. Rinku had a chance to make a mark here and he was ready for it.

BCCI banned a day ago
Rinku Singh was banned in the middle of the series between India A and Sri Lanka A. Rinku participated in the Ramadan T20 Cup in Dubai. For this, he did not take the permission of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). For this reason, the board banned him for three months. BCCI does not allow Indian players to participate in any foreign league.

The journey to the cricket field was not easy for Rinku Singh. His father used to do cylinder delivery work, while his brother used to drive auto rickshaws. He has 5 siblings. Rinku was not good in studies either. He told in an interview that he is 9th fail. He had told that the father used to beat Rinku for playing cricket, but when he won the bike, the father stopped beating him. With the same bike, his father started going for cylinder delivery.
