After a modest performance in the first Test against New Zealand, people on social media have raised questions about the replacement of Indian cricket team pacer Ishant Sharma and demanded his exclusion from the playing XI for the next match in Mumbai. The Indian pacer was trending on social media after not doing well in the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur.

After New Zealand managed to draw the first Test against the Ajinkya Rahane-led side, the demand for Ishant’s removal from the playing XI and Mohammad Siraj for the second Test intensified.

The 33-year-old bowled 15 overs in the first innings and conceded 35 runs without taking any wickets, while in the second innings he bowled seven overs with a finger injury, but then he did not get any wickets.
