Only six for the entire innings .. The top team could not

A very interesting match was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans on Tuesday night. Lucknow, who beat Gujarat by 144 runs, were all out for just 82 in the chase. The slow pitch of the Pune pitch favored the bowlers. The Gujarat Titans, the top team in the IPL 2022 that batted first, failed to score big.

The Gujarat players had to work very hard to hit the boundaries as the Lucknow bowlers attacked. Hard hitters like Rahul Tewatia, David Miller and Hardik Pandya were at the crease but the Gujarat players could understand how slow the pitch was if they hit just a single six in the first innings. The total number of sixes hit by both teams in the entire match was just four. Among them were two sixes that Avesh Khan hit last.

If the pacers are provoked in the first innings .. the spinners are reversed in the second innings. Lucknow bowlers Moshin Khan and Avesh Khan made threats. Gujarat spinners Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore knocked the players over in front of the wickets. In Lucknow, Moshin Khan bowled 4 overs and took one wicket for just 18 runs. Avesh Khan took two wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. Gujarat spinner Ravi Srinivasan Sai Kishore took two wickets for just 7 runs in 2 overs in his first match. Rashid Khan took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 3.5 overs.

With this match victory, the Gujarat Titans became the first team to reach the play-offs in IPL 2022. Gujarat, which has played 12 matches this season, is at the top of the points table with 9 wins while Lucknow is in second place with 8 wins. Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are in third and fourth place respectively.
