Not Virat and Rohit, Hardik only follows Dhoni’s advice, due to which the whole career changed

All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who led Gujarat Titans to victory in the Indian Premier League 2022, is now making a splash in the Indian team. Pandya played an important role in helping Team India win the fourth T20 against South Africa by playing an important innings of 46 runs in 31 balls. With this win, India have now leveled the five-match series 1-1.

After the match, Hardik Pandya did a special interview of Dinesh Karthik for BCCI TV. During this, Hardik told how he led Gujarat to the IPL title under his captaincy and on whose advice he has achieved such a huge success.

Hardik said, ‘I always take advice from former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The way he refines his strategy by staying calm is brilliant. At the beginning of my career, he had given me this advice that you should not think about the score of the team. Think what is the need of the team and that is what I follow now.

On the question asked by Karthik that what changes he makes in his planning while playing for Gujarat and Team India. In response to this, he said, ‘I do not make any special changes in my game. I just try to play my timing and the ball that comes in my zone. Whether I play for Gujarat or for Team India.

Let us tell you that Pandya made his T20 debut for Team India in 2016. Since then he has played a total of 58 T20 matches. Although he has been constantly out of the team due to injury, whenever he gets a chance, he contributes a lot with both the ball and the bat.
