Mumbai have been placed in Elite Group B in the national one-day tournament and the team will play their league matches in Thiruvananthapuram from December 8.
Mulani had also captained the team when the team toured Oman. In the absence of senior players, he will lead the campaign of this strong domestic cricket team which will go on to defend their title.
The team was selected by the Salil Ankola-led selection committee on Thursday and the Mumbai Cricket Association put it up on its website.
