MS Dhoni: Jadeja was left alone after two matches, Mahendra Singh Dhoni told the inside thing as soon as he became the captain again

Pune: Chennai Super Kings has got victory as soon as the captaincy comes in the hands of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Before IPL 2022, Dhoni had decided to leave the captaincy of CSK. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja got this command, but he could not do much in captaincy as well as flop with the ball and batsman. After this he decided to return the captaincy to Dhoni. Now after leaving his captaincy, CSK has got victory in the very first match.

After the match against Hyderabad, Mahendra Singh Dhoni told that Jadeja knew from last season that he would captain this year. Dhoni said, ‘He knew only in the last season that he would be given the captaincy opportunity this year. He knew and he had enough time to prepare, the important thing is that you want him to lead the team and I wanted that to be the change.

Dhoni told that he helped Ravindra Jadeja for two matches but after that left him to take the decision himself. Dhoni said, ‘I was giving information to Jaddu in the first two matches and after that I left it to him to decide from which angle to bowl and everything else.’

Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that you do not want him to feel that someone else has captained and I was just there to toss. Dhoni said in the end, ‘Spoon feeding (repeatedly explained or told) does not help the captain. You have to take those important decisions on the field and you have to take responsibility for those decisions.

Playing first against Hyderabad, Chennai scored 202 runs for 2 wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 99 runs. In reply, Hyderabad team could only manage 189 runs for 6 wickets. Nicholas Pooran scored 64 runs. Mukesh Chaudhary dismissed 4 batsmen.
