KL Rahul on LSG Win: In IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won by a big margin in the match played on Saturday (April 1) night. Lucknow’s team defeated Delhi Capitals by 50 runs. Batting first, Lucknow scored a huge score of 193 runs thanks to a blistering 73-run innings by Windies batsman Kyle Mayers and later stopped Delhi for just 143 runs with the help of Mark Wood’s excellent bowling (14/5). After this strong victory, LSG captain KL Rahul praised both these players.
‘We scored 25 more than 30 runs’
After the match, KL Rahul first praised his batsmen and said, ‘We didn’t know much about the pitch. I think we scored 25-30 runs more than what we should have scored on this pitch. The manner in which Kyle Meyers batted and then the approach with which the rest of the batsmen attacked the spinners, due to which this good score could be reached.’
‘Thought later the batsmen would get help but…’
KL Rahul also praised his team’s bowling after this. He said, ‘The ground was average and I thought the pitch would get better for the batsmen but our bowlers performed brilliantly. It was Mark Wood’s day. Every fast bowler dreams of bowling the way he bowled. When a player is in such rhythm and gives such performance, good results come for the team.’
