KKR vs SRH: Kolkata beats Hyderabad, Andre Russell did wonders with ball after bat

Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 54 runs in the 61st match of IPL 2022 played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. This is KKR’s sixth win in 13 matches. With this win, Kolkata have kept their hopes of reaching the playoffs alive. 

Kolkata Knight Riders scored 177 for 6 in 20 overs after playing first. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad team could only score 123 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted overs. Andre Russell was the hero of this victory of Kolkata. In the first batting, Russell played an innings of 49 not out in 28 balls. Then took three wickets for 22 runs in the bowling.

Abhishek scored 43 runs in 28 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. At the same time, Markram played an innings of 32 runs in 25 balls with the help of three sixes. As soon as these two got out, Hyderabad’s innings was scattered like a pack of cards. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran 02, Washington Sundar 04, Shashank Singh 11 and Marco Jansen got out after scoring 01. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned unbeaten on 06 and Umran Malik on 03.
