Baroda Cricket Association secretary Ajit Lele confirmed this. He said that the selection committee has taken this decision.
Deodhar, a right-handed batsman, has scored 2402 runs in 73 List A matches.
A day earlier, India’s all-rounder Krunal Pandya stepped down as Baroda’s captain after their team could not perform well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Hazare Trophy matches will start from December 8. Baroda has been placed in Elite Group B along with Tamil Nadu, Mumbai, Bengal, Karnataka and Puducherry.
