NZ vs SL 2nd Test: Kane Williamson, the former captain of the New Zealand Test team, is at home. Kane Mama (as the fans of Sunrisers fondly call him) who scored a century in the second Test against England last month, is continuing the same form in the series against Lanka.  He scored a century in the recently concluded first test.. Recently he shone with a double century in the second test being held at Wellington. Kane equaled the records of cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Virender Sehwag.  

In the second Test against Sri Lanka, Williamson..   296 balls   He scored 215 runs with the help of 23 fours and 2 sixes. Along with him, Henry Nicholas (200 not out in 240 balls, 15 fours, 4 sixes) also scored a double century. With the boom of these two, the Kiwis declared a huge score of 580 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first innings. At the end of the second day’s play, Lanka played 17 overs and lost two wickets and scored 26 runs.  It is known that the Kiwis achieved a memorable victory in the first test which ended in a thrilling manner.  There are plenty of  situations where the same result is repeated in the second Test too.

Tests   He equaled the record of six double centuries by Sachin, Virender Sehwag, Ricky Ponting, Javed Miandad and  Younis Khan  . At the same time, Joe Root, who scored five double centuries, broke the record of five double centuries of the current Team India head coach, Rahul Dravid. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli scored seven double centuries in Tests. Sir Donald Bradman, Australia’s greatest legend in Test cricket, played 52 Tests in his career and scored 12 double centuries.

Williamson, who has been playing for the Kiwis since 2010. Played 94 Tests. He scored 8,124 runs in 164 innings at an average of 54.89. It includes 28 centuries,   There are also 33 half-centuries.  Williamson, who served as the captain of the team for a long time, recently handed over the reins of Test captaincy to Tim Southee and he was limited to limited overs.
