The New Zealand team reached India less than 24 hours after losing the T20 World Cup final to Australia.
The New Zealand team, which played a three-match series three days after the World Cup final, lost both the first T20 matches.
After the second match, Saudi said, “It was a very busy schedule after the T20 World Cup. We could not adapt to the situation.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss in both the matches and decided to bowl first.
The Saudi said, “There was heavy dew here and it affected both the teams. It was tough if I couldn’t always practice with the wet ball. Credit for the win goes to India who put the pressure on us by taking early wickets. Our spinners could not catch the ball.
The next match in Kolkata will be a formality but Saudi hopes to end the series with a win before the start of the two-Test series.
