This is because KL Rahul and Rashid Khan and the Lucknow and Ahmedabad teams have been in touch with each other before the retention process and have lodged a complaint with the BCCI. This was informed by a BCCI official. According to the official, “both the new teams are allowed to have three players before the auction. However, this process can be completed only after the retention process. A complaint has been lodged with the BCCI against both the players and the new team after they were retained. & nbsp;

Each team can retain four players. The BCCI has said that there will be no more than two foreign players. I mean, 2 Indians 2 foreigners or 3 Indians one foreigner … Thus the IPL team has been given the right to retain its players. & Nbsp;

How much for a retained player?

The BCCI has given Rs 90 crore to each team to buy players for the auction this year. If a player is purchased in retention, the amount will be deducted from this. 16 crore for the first retention, 12 crore for the second retention, 8 crore for the third retention and 6 crore for the fourth retention. & Nbsp;
