The auction for the new teams will be held on October 17. Tenders will be invited from September 21. The tender deadline is October 5. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet officially announced the auction date and place of the teams. But it is likely to happen on October 17, a BCCI official said.
The BCCI has already clarified that the turnover of companies bidding for IPL teams should be Rs 3,000 crore. Networth has also clarified that it should be Rs 2,500 crore. So far, it seems that Sanjeev Goenka of RPSG Group is going to buy a team. The Rising Pune Super Giants team, which previously belonged to this group, played in the IPL for two years.
