Indian bowlers disappointed in IND vs NZ 1st Test .. Kiwis 129/0

India were disappointed on the second day of the first Test at Kanpur. Team India were bowled out for 345 in the first innings on Friday, the second day of the match. At the crease were Tom Latham (50 off 4×4 off 165 balls) and Will Young (75 off 12×4 off 180 balls). New Zealand were still 216 runs behind India in the first innings.

India, who continued their first innings today with an overnight score of 258/4, were all out in the second session. Shreyas Iyer (105: 171 off 13×4, 1×6) scored a century while Shubhman Gill (52:93 off 5×4, 1×6) and Ravindra Jadeja (50: 112 off 6×4) scored half-centuries. Among the New Zealand bowlers, Tim Southee took five wickets while Kyle Jamieshan took three and Ajaz Patel two.

The New Zealand openers started the first innings of the second session after India were all out. The Indian bowlers were not given a chance at any stage. Most importantly, opener Will Young faced the Indian pacers as well as the spinners. Tom Latham, on the other hand, took a little longer to get to the crease .. then played faster. In total, the New Zealand openers played 12 overs and scored 129 runs today. The Indian bowlers could not take at least one wicket.
