Three teams in Group B
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are in Group B. The top two teams each from both the groups will qualify for the Super Four stage. It is highly likely that India and Pakistan teams from Group A will qualify for the Super Four, in which both the teams can face each other again on September 4. The top two teams from the Super Four stage will qualify for the final to be played on 11 September.
Finals to be held on September 11
The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah took to Twitter to announce the schedule of the tournament to be played in the T20 format from August 27 to September 11 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Jay Shah is the head of the Asian Cricket Council. He said, ‘The waiting hours are over. The fight for dominance in Asian cricket from 27 August. The final will take place on September 11. The 15th season of the Asia Cup will be ideal to prepare for the T20 World Cup.
