Canada got two penalty corners in the 11th minute but went in vain. In the second quarter, Sanjay scored on a penalty stroke. Maninder also registered a goal in the second minute of half-time and India’s lead was 4. turned to 0.
After this the Indian team did not look back and went on scoring goals in every quarter. The last goal was scored by Abhishek Lakra in the 55th minute on India’s eighth penalty corner.
