IND vs SA: ‘Shame, ugliness, setback’… Finally ‘Match Winner’: Dinesh Karthik wins India!

The five-match T20 series between India and South Africa is underway. After the first 3 matches, South Africa took a 2-1 lead.

Following this, in the fourth match which started at Rajkot today, the South African team that won the toss chose to bowl first.

Indian innings:

The pitch was initially favorable for speed. Because of the extra bounce, the batsmen could not face the balls properly.

Rudraj Kejriwal 5 (7), Shreyas Iyer 4 (2) and Ishant Kishan 27 (26) were the main contributors. In particular, 30 balls in 9 overs was dot ball. Only managed to add 56/3 in 10 overs. Rishabh also bowled 17 (23).

Great Partnership:

Following this, Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik formed a partnership. While the two were sober at first, they started playing aggressively next and started accumulating runs. Dinesh Karthik hit 6 off 8 balls and then flew the next fours.

Thanks to Dinesh’s action, the score changed from 96/4 in 15 overs to 140/4 in 18 overs. Following this, Hardik was dismissed for 46 (31) in the next over. Dinesh Karthik, who continued to score a half-century, was dismissed for 55 (27) in the last over.

In the end, the Indian team scored 169/6 in 20 overs.

South African innings:

Van Deer Dushan was the only South African to score a big 20 (20) as he chased down the target. All but one of Marco Jansen’s 12 (17) added single-digit runs. Thus, the South African team scored only 87 runs at the end of 16.5 overs and lost by 82 runs.

Dinesh Aparam:

During the first match, Hardik Pandya took a single to Dinesh Karthik and refused to strike. Dinesh Karthik was fielded next to Akshar Patel in the second match. Audi did not score big with a stumble in the third match. Overcoming such ugliness, humiliation and setbacks, Dinesh took half a century in the fourth match and was the match winner.

Both teams are tied 2-2 in the five-match series. The final will be played in Bangalore the next day.
