“I got out with 14.1 overs left. Had he stayed at the crease till the end, he would have scored 300 too.” Kishan said during the innings break. Chris Gayle, who reached the double century milestone in just 126 balls, became the fastest double century in the ODI format. This is only the 10th ODI in 24-year-old Ishan Kishan’s career. Batting first in this match, India scored a huge score of 409 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Ishan Kishan got out in the 36th over of India’s innings. Ishan Kishan has already scored 210 runs.
This Jharkhand left-hander became the fourth Indian batsman to score a double century in ODIs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has achieved this feat thrice. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag scored a double century each.
