India’s Ravichandran Ashwin got a big record after taking the wicket of Tom Latham on the last day of the first Test against New Zealand at Green Park in Kanpur. Ashwin became the third-highest (418)* wicket-taker for India in Test matches as soon as Latham was dismissed. Ashwin has done this feat in his 80th match. In this case, Ashwin has left behind India’s legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan Singh has a total of 417 wickets in Test cricket. At the same time, former veteran Anil Kumble is in the first place in the matter of taking the most wickets for India in this format. He has taken a total of 619 wickets from red ball cricket for Team India.

At the second place is former India World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev. Kapil has taken a total of 434 wickets in this format.
