New Zealand were all out for 296 in the first Test against India. This gave India a 49-run lead. New Zealand started the innings with 129 not out and the innings went smoothly for a while. Akshar Patel took five wickets while Ashwin took three wickets. Jadeja and Umesh Yadav took four wickets each.
Earlier, Team India were all out for 345. Shreyas & zwnj; Iyer & zwnj; (105; 13 fours off 171 balls, two sixes) and Ravindra Jadeja (50; 6×4 off 112 balls) scored a half-century.
