IND vs IRE: ‘Umran Malik’ … What is the speed of the shot? Shut up fans: BCCI shock!

The two-match T20 series between India and Ireland is underway. The first match was played in Dublin. India won the toss and elected to bowl first, but the start of the match was delayed due to rain.

The match was eventually played over 12 overs.

Ireland innings:

Ireland’s openers Sterling 4 (5), Balbirnie 0 (2) and Tiffany 8 (9) were the first to be knocked out. Anu Harry Dector hit 64 off 33 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Tucker then went on to score 18 off 16 balls. Thus, the Irish team added 108/4 in 12 overs.

Umran Malik Sotapal:

Umran Malik, who made his debut in the match, was expected to continue bowling intimidatingly at 150+ pace anyway in this pitch favorable to speed. He bowled the last over in the Power Play, bowling only at a maximum speed of 145. That too reached this pace on the last ball. That ball hit 6 sixes.

18 off 6 balls:

He bowled 142, 143 off the other balls. Umran Malik’s strength is speed. Although he could not bowl on the right line, the high-speed ball kept scaring the batters. Due to not reaching the pace in the match, the Batters faced him better and scored 18 runs. Umran bowling (1,1, L4,1,4, WD, 6). He was not given overs after that.

While there were high expectations on Umran Malik, the fact that he bowled only 145 on a pitch favorable to speed came as a shock to the fans. The BCCI is also considered disappointed. However, cricket critics believe he stumbled because of the first match. They are hopeful that he will reach high speed in the next matches.

India wins:

Openers Deepak Hooda 47 * (29), Ishant Kishan 26 (11) and Hardik Pandya 24 (12) were the main contributors to India’s 111-run victory in 9.2 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Hooda and Dinesh Karthik were on the field till the last 5 * (4).

The second and final match will take place tomorrow.
