IND vs AUS 4h Test: Shubman Adhiren-Gill with a century- Team India heading for a big score

IND vs AUS 4h Test: Team India opener Shubman Gill (103 not out from 197 balls, 10×4, 1×6) once again proved that he is an all format player. This Punjabi lad who is in excellent form in this year’s limited overs cricket… recently scored a century in the Border – Gavaskar Trophy as well. This is his second century in Tests and his first at home. After Rohit’s departure in the first innings, Chhateshwar Pujara (42 off 121 balls) also excelled. But before tea time, Murphy gave India a shock. At the tea break, India scored 188 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 63 overs. Virat Kohli is at the crease along with Gill.

Gil Jigel..

Gill, who exploded with centuries in ODIs and T20s with New Zealand this year, is now with Australia. He was also upset. Even though he did not get a chance in the first two Tests, Gill waited for a place in the team without being disappointed. He also failed like other batters on the indoor pitch where the ball turned well. But in Ahmedabad, he is disturbing the kangaroos. Gill, who scored a half century before lunch, then completed the century a bit slower.  Australian captain  Steve Smith did not lose patience even though he tried to change the bowlers. After entering the 80s, Cameron Green hit two boundaries in the 56th over and entered the 90s.   In the same swing,  Murphy put  in the 61st over   He hit a four off the second ball and completed the century.  His century was completed in 194 balls.

Team India lost the second wicket..

After Rohit’s departure   Pujara added a century partnership (113 runs) with Pujara  before the tea break   He got out. The last ball of Murphy’s  62nd over hit Pujara’s pads.  The umpire was out and Pujara went to review. But he got the opposite result in the review. With this   Pujara turned back disappointed.

Eye on a big score..

After Pujara left  India’s star batsman Virat Kohli came to the crease. The pair of Kohli – Gill is creating wonders in limited overs cricket this year. The ODI series with New Zealand is a living proof of this.   If Kohli stays on this pitch which is suitable for batting, it will not be a big problem to surpass the 480 runs made by Australia. If India does not lose any wickets in another session today, there are chances of reaching the 300 mark.
