First tweet of retirement, then deleted, now CSK CEO has clarified on Ambati Rayudu’s retirement

Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings veteran batsman Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from IPL. Rayudu posted on Twitter that he will not play in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) after this season. After some time, 36-year-old Rayudu deleted his tweet. After this, questions started being raised whether he was really retiring. If you are not retiring then why did you tweet. Now the reaction has come from Chennai Super Kings.

CEO clarified position
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kashi Vishwanath has reacted to Ambati Rayudu’s tweet. They say that Rayudu is not retiring. He said, ‘No, no, he is not becoming a rewriter. Maybe he wasn’t happy with his performance and it might have fizzled out. I think it’s simply a psychological one. He will be with us. He made it clear that Rayudu will play for the team next season as well.

What did Rayudu tweet?
Ambati Rayudu tweeted on Saturday afternoon at 12:46 pm to retire. In which he wrote, ‘I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. In the 13 years I’ve played it, I’ve had a great time with two great teams. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for a wonderful journey.

CSK is out
Chennai Super Kings is out of IPL 2022. This is only the second out when Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team has not made it to the playoffs. Earlier in the tournament held in UAE in 2020 also, the team did not reach the playoffs. In 10 innings played in this season, Rayudu has scored 271 runs at an average of 27 and a strike rate of 124. Only one half-century has come from his bat.
