Dinesh Karthik supports RCB captain Duplessis.. Reentry chance?

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Duplessis was supported by the team’s wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. In the IPL 2023 (IPL 2023) season, Du Plessis has already scored 702 runs in the 13 matches he has played. Duplessis is running with a strike rate of 153.94 while he has 8 half centuries. Dinesh Karthik believes that if Duplessis plays for South Africa in this year’s ODI World Cup, it will be good for the team.

In fact, Duplessis has already announced his retirement from international cricket. But.. his form and fitness are better now, fans are suggesting that he should take back that retirement. Moreover, fans want him to play in the ODI World Cup to be held at the end of this year. In this context, Dinesh Karthik said that there is a possibility that Duplessis will withdraw his retirement if the South African team management requests it.

“Duplessis performance in IPL 2023 is not surprising to me. Because he is an amazing player. He has been performing very consistently in the IPL for the last 4-5 years. I know he will play more aggressively next year. If the South African team is unable to take him for the ODI World Cup… a good chance will be lost. If asked by the team management, he will agree. Dinesh Karthik said that Duplessis is useful for the team not only as a batsman but also as a leader.

ODI World Cup 2023 will be held on Indian soil later this year. Duplessis has played 10 matches and scored 394 runs in ODIs in India. His average is above 65. Besides, he has a good understanding of India’s pitches by playing in IPL 2023.
