If Chennai lose their last match, while Lucknow, Mumbai and Bangalore win all their remaining matches, all three will qualify for the playoffs. And Chennai’s challenge will end. If Chennai want to reach the playoffs, they will have to win the last match. But if Chennai lose the last match, then the wait for the playoffs will be very tough for them. The simple answer is that even after losing the last match, if one of Chennai, Lucknow and Mumbai lose their last match, it is still possible for Chennai to reach the playoffs.
