Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja called Steve Smith out for his best fielding effort in the ongoing third Test against Australia and said he could see it “rewind” again and again. Smith was batting on 130 and was in the mood to play every ball with number 11 batsman Josh Hazlewood but his innings ended with a straight throw at Jadeja’s stump.
Jadeja took the ball running from deep square leg and threw it straight towards the stumps. Asked what he would like to see, the four wickets he took or the run-out, the senior all-rounder replied, ‘I will’ rewind ‘this play-out to’ play ‘because This is my best effort. Hit directly from outside the 30 yards circle, this is the moment that gives you satisfaction. ‘
The Saurashtra cricketer said, “It is okay to take three or four wickets but I will always remember this run-out.” ‘Jadeja has been very agile in fielding on this tour, in which he has taken some great catches, one of which was caught by Matthew Wade while running on the MCG, and it was very important to run-out Smith at crucial times on Friday, otherwise Australia’s score could have added 25 to 30 extra runs. India bowled Australia out for 338 in the first innings and were 96 for two at stumps on the second day.
