Star opener and captain of Mumbai Indians Rohit Sharma Returned to fit and on Tuesday he landed his last league match of the season against Hyderabad. Indian opener Rohit Sharma took the captaincy in this match.
However, Rohit Sharma could not do anything special and Sandeep Sharma hunted him in the third over of the innings and was caught by David Warner. Rohit faced 7 balls and returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.
The Mumbai team saw a big change and Rohit Sharma took over the captaincy in place of Karen Pollard. The team’s key bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult were also rested and replaced by James Pattinson and Dhawal Kulkarni in the playing XI. Jayant Yadav also had to sit out of the team, in whose place Rohit came into the playing-XI.
Rohit, who has played 32 Tests, 224 ODIs and 108 T20 Internationals for India so far, did not play the last 4 matches for his team Mumbai Indians in IPL. He was forced to sit out of the team due to a hamstring injury.
He was not included in Team India for the upcoming series against Australia. However, BCCI President Saurabh Ganguly said in gestures that he could be back in the team if he is fully fit.
