IND vs ENG 2021: Ravindra Jadeja misses the first two Tests against England

Ravindra Jadeja injured his left thumb while batting on Saturday, the third day of the Sydney Test. The ball thrown by fast bowler Mitchell Starc went straight to Jadeja’s bat and hit his toe. With that, the scan was taken and it was found that the finger was misplaced.

Team India management has already announced that Ravindra Jadeja will miss the Sydney Test and the fourth Test against Australia in Brisbane from the 15th of this month due to a toe injury. It seems that the doctors who examined the severity of Jadeja’s injury suggested that he should stay away from the game for at least 6 weeks. With that, Jadeja will miss the first two Tests of the four-Test series against England starting on February 5.

The first Test between India and England will be played at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai from February 5 to 9. The second Test will be played at the same venue from February 13 to 17. Jadeja will miss both the matches. England will play four Tests, five T20s and a three-match ODI series in India. Already, fast bowlers Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav and batsman KL Rahul have been ruled out of the Australia tour due to injuries. Jadeja will also be leaving soon.
