IND vs AUS 4th Test match in Brisbane .. India in trouble

The fourth Test between India and Australia in Brisbane was suspended on Saturday due to rain. In the second session, it was raining as India were 62/2 in the first innings. The umpires stopped the game. Captain Ajinkya Rahane (2 off 19 balls) and Chateshwar Pujara (8 off 49 balls) were at the crease. India were still 307 runs behind in the first innings. Australia were all out for 369 in the first innings of the first session today.

India suffered an unexpected shock early in the first innings. Opener Shubham Gill (1×4 off 4:15) was bowled by Pat Cummins in the seventh over of the innings. Gill tried to defend the ball that came over his body. The ball that touched the edge of the bat went into Steve Smith’s hands on the slip. Shortly afterwards, another opener Rohit Sharma (6×4 off 44:74) was also out. Rohit Sharma, who went outside the crease in spinner Nathan Lion’s bowling and hit six, was caught by fielder Mitchell Starc.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Test on Friday. Among Indian bowlers, Natarajan, Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur took 30 wickets each. Mohammad Siraj took one wicket.
