England’s Jofra Archer will be on ‘Rehabilitation’ two weeks after Fungi’s operation and only then will he be able to start net practice which makes it impossible for him to play in the Indian Premier League. The England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement, ‘England right-arm pacer Jofra Archer had his right hand operated on Monday. A piece of glass was removed from the middle finger of his right hand. It said, “Now he will be on rehabilitation for two weeks. After that, a decision will be taken about his return to the net.”

Archer had to return midway from the tour of India due to an elbow injury. It was later revealed that his right hand finger was injured in January. His wounds had healed, leading to his Test and T20 series but the ECB decided to conduct a thorough investigation of the injury.

Archer suffered a hand injury while cleaning the house before the tour of India. The 14th season of the IPL will begin on April 9. The Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to play the first match of the Punjab Kings on 12 April in Mumbai.
