The Indian bowlers, who emerged victorious in the last two sessions on Friday, were disappointed in the first session today as well. Most importantly .. Ashwin who has a better record on Ben Stokes .. could not make any impact at all. Ben Stokes hit a six towards Longoff off a ball thrown by Ashwin outside the off stump early on. Nadeem also bowled a huge six towards mid-wicket. Sunder also bowled Ben Stokes with sweep shots. Jorut scored a double century and a huge century in the two-Test series against Sri Lanka that ended in January. Jorut scored 228 in the first Test and 186 in the second Test. Joe Root appears in the same touch in Chennai.
