Rajkot / Ahmedabad: Two more cases of new variant of Corona Omicron were reported in Jamnagar on Friday. Then the health department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has taken an important decision. According to which, from now on, samples of all the citizens infected with Corona will be sent to Rajkot for genome sequencing. In addition to coming from high risk countries, citizens who do not have a travel history in such countries will also be sent for genome sequencing if they become infected with Corona.

The number of Omicron cases in Gujarat reached 3
According to the TV report, samples of 13 infected people from Rajkot were sent for genome sequencing, out of which 10 patients were found to have delta variant of corona virus, while 3 samples were reported to be pending. It may be mentioned that the number of cases of Omicron, a new variant of Corona virus, has reached 3 in Gujarat and all the three cases have been registered in Jamnagar.

According to the information received, a 22-year-old man from Vadodara who came to Ahmedabad from London has received a positive report from Corona at the airport. According to media reports, all the members of his family, including the youth, have been quarantined. It is learned that samples were sent for genome sequencing to find out which variant of Corona is in this young man.

In the last 24 hours 3 patient deaths, 63 cases were reported
According to the data released by the state health department, 63 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours while 39 patients have recovered. However, the shocking thing is that the total death toll has reached 10098 with 3 patients dying in a single day. In Gujarat, the recovery rate from Kovid-19 is 98.72 percent. The cases registered in last 24 hours include 13 in Ahmedabad, 11 in Jamnagar-Surat-Vadodara, 3 in Kutch-Navsari-Valsad, 2 in Rajkot, 1-1 in Anand, Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Panchmahal, Rajkot (district), Vadodara (district).
