Jalore: Acting on Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jalore team arrested the executive officer and junior assistant of Bhinmal Municipality while accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. Acting on the instructions of the ACB Headquarters, the Jalore unit arrested EO Ashutosh Acharya and Junior Assistant Jagdish Jat red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from the complainant. Anti-Corruption Bureau’s ASP Mahavir Singh Ranawat said that the complaint was given on behalf of the complainant. It was told that EO Ashutosh Acharya is demanding Rs 12 lakh in lieu of issuing the lease of his residential plot.


Had asked for 12 lakhs, deal finalized in 4 lakhs
On the pleadings of the complainant, the accused agreed to take Rs 4 lakh. On this, the complaint was investigated on the orders of ACB Jodhpur’s Deputy Inspector General of Police Sawai Singh Godara and ACB Jalore unit’s Additional Superintendent of Police Mahavir Singh Ranawat. The investigation found the case to be correct. After this, on Wednesday, the team arrested Ashutosh Acharya s/o Chaturbhuj Acharya, resident of Jodhpur Hall, Executive Officer, Municipality, Bhinmal, District Jalore and Jagdish Jat, s/o Devaram, resident of Bhinmal, District Jalore, Junior Assistant, Municipality, Bhinmal, District Jalore while taking action by ‘setting a trap’. have done.

Officer arrested while taking bribe
The team arrested EO Ashutosh Acharya and Junior Assistant Jagdish Jat when they were taking Rs 4 lakh from the complainant. On the instructions of Additional Director General of ACB Hemant Priyadarshi, searches are going on at the residence and other places of the accused.
