Mahak Sharma Boxing: Spain will tremble with the punch of India’s daughter, see the swag of this ‘Mary Kom’

Arjun Arvind, Kota: Kota’s daughter Mehak Sharma left for Spain from Delhi airport with the Indian team to represent India at the Youth World Boxing Championships to be held in Lanushya Alikat Spain from November 13 to 27. Devi Singh, general secretary of the Kota Boxing Association, said that Mehak will represent India in the 66 kg weight category. Mehak is the only boxer from Rajasthan, who joined the Indian team in this championship.

Before participating in the championship, Boxing Federation of India organized a training camp for all the players playing in the Indian team from 15 October to 10 November at Rohtak National Boxing Center. A team of 38 members including 12 girls, 13 boys, team coach, manager, doctor, massager, therapist will participate in the championship.

Mehek became Kota’s fourth international boxer
Prior to Mehak, Arundhati Chowdhary, Nisha and Isha Gurjar have represented India in international boxing competitions. Significantly, Arundhati Chowdhary had increased the honor of Kota by getting gold medal in the World Championship in 2021.

This is how Mehak’s boxing journey began
Mehak started his boxing career at Mahabali Sports Academy from 2 January 2018 under the supervision of Coach Ashok Gautam. Mehak, a resident of Sita village, is the eldest daughter of the family. Mehak’s elder sister Anjali and younger brother Rishi used to go to coach Ashok Gautam to learn wushu. One day Ashok Gautam went to Anjali’s house for some work. There Anjali’s father Ramavatar Sharma made her meet Mehak’s father Ashok Sharma and Mehak.

Go to the stadium by riding your own bike
Seeing the length of Mehak in future, Gautam told his father to start sending it to the stadium, it is a good length. Will make a good name in the game. Since then Mehak started going to Nayapura Stadium for practice from his village. Mehak practices daily for 6 hours and comes to the stadium morning and evening by herself riding a bike.

Mehak’s sister Anjali was also an athlete
Mehak’s sister Anjali has participated in national competition 4 times and won medals 2 times. Mehak has also won medals at the national level in Wushu. Congratulating coach Ashok Gautam, like Arundhati, he has hoped to increase the respect of Kota by repeating the history of 2021.
