TET Exam Scam: Suspension of IAS scammers who passed teachers by taking money cancelled; Action against teachers, but Khodvekar will rejoin administrative service

Sushil Khodvekar, who was in touch with the former chairman of the examination board, Tukaram Supe, who was arrested in the TET case, was detained by the Pune cyber police. Sushil Khodvekar was a 2011 officer and was working as a project director in the Agriculture Department. Sushil Khodvekar, erstwhile undersecretary for establishments in the education department, had acquitted Tukaram Supe in the inter-departmental inquiry and sought to de-blacklist GA Software. Interestingly, in return, Khodvekar took money from GA Software’s Abhishek Savarikar, besides being in touch with Tukaram Supe, the investigation revealed that many children were passed in TET.

Tukaram Supe, the main accused in the TET scam, was arrested by the cyber wing of the Pune police. In this case, he has been accused of breaking the paper. That Tukaram Supe was granted bail on 31st May and he retired on the same day. 

Action against those 7800
TET Exam 2019-20 for publishing results on fake website. It was initially alleged that around 550 to 600 ineligible candidates were qualified. But
Pune In the investigations conducted by the cyber police so far, it has been revealed that as many as 7800 people have been passed off with money. These 7800 students will be disqualified and their certificates will be cancelled.  Also, they have been barred from taking the Teacher Eligibility Test in future. Out of these 7800  students who have qualified by bogus way, those employed as teachers will be searched. Maharashtra State Education Council President Sharad Gosavi has informed that these teachers who are working as teachers will be dismissed from service. 

Who is Sushil Khodvekar?
Sushil Khodvekar is originally from Khodwa Savargaon in Parli taluka. Previously resided in Nanded Parbhani and now in Mumbai. Sushil Khodvekar is a 2011 batch IAS officer. He was the Deputy Secretary in the School Education Department when the TET exam was rigged. Earlier he has worked in Integrated Tribal Development Project in Thane Palghar. Sushil Khodvekar has also worked as Commissioner in Nanded Waghala Municipal Corporation and then as Chief Executive Officer in Parbhani Zilla Parishad. Now his appointment rests Maharashtra has been made Member Secretary of Statutory Development Corporation.
